「緑樹影」とは謡曲「竹生嶋」の一節から名付けました。
信仰の島に繁る深緑の木々が湖面に映り込む様をいい、竹生島の別称ともなっています。
曲は「緑樹影沈んで、魚木に上る気色あり。月海上に浮かんでは兎も波を走るか面白裏の景色や・・・」と続きます。
ほのかに白桃を思わせる上品な香り、枇杷や上新粉を使った蒸し菓子を連想させるしっとりとしたキメ細やかな甘み。後口を白葡萄のような爽やかな酸がキリッと引きしめます 。

"Ryokuju-kage" is named after a line from Chikubu-shima, a traditional Japanese song.
"Ryokuju-kage" means the reflection of the deep green trees on the island of faith on the surface of the lake, which is also another name for Chikubu island.
The song describes「緑樹影沈んで、魚木に上る気色あり。月海上に浮かんでは兎も波を走るか面白裏の景色や・・・(As we left the lakeshore, we could see Chikubu island. The green shadows of the trees are reflected on the surface of the lake, sinking to the bottom of the lake, as if the fish swimming in the water were climbing those trees.
